Fourth Generation Dealers Take the Wheel at Day's Chevrolet
Daniel and Andrew Diemer, fourth generation dealer principals at Day's Chevrolet, have become acting General Managers at Day's Chevrolet in Acworth and Day's Chevrolet of Jasper.
In 1959, long before Daniel and Andrew were born, their great-grandfather Levi Day opened Day's Chevrolet on South Main Street in Acworth, GA. In those days, his lot was filled with Chevrolet's latest displays of American strength on the highway. Models like Bel Air, Biscayne, Impala, Brookwood, and the sporty new El Camino filled the parking lot, waiting to be taken out for a test of their power and style. This youngest generation of Day's Chevrolet dealers showcases cars that boast fuel efficiency, with increased MPG as the top automotive prize for many drivers.
The times have changed, the cars have changed, and four generations of Levi Day's family have helped thousands of drivers find their perfect vehicle.
Today, Day's Chevrolet has expanded to three locations: a newly renovated store on North Cobb Parkway in Acworth, GA; a new store in Jasper, GA; and the just-opened Day's Pre-Owned Supercenter in Rockmart. All are owned and operated by third-and-fourth generation members of the family. Calvin Diemer, Levi's grandson, is President and Owner. Sons Daniel and Andrew Diemer are Dealer Principals of the Acworth store and the new Jasper store.
"We are a family company," says Daniel. "My brother and I worked at the dealership from the time we were kids. And like my dad before us, we knew we wanted to go into this business."
"My father and grandfather were proud that we were interested in building on what they had started. And now my boys will carry us into the future," Calvin added.
The company's growth is a testament to the family's many years of building strong customer relations in sales and service. "When my great-grandfather started this company he knew that people would come back to them if he treated them fairly," says Andrew. Now the original 6,000 square foot dealership has grown to three. The largest -- at 60,000 square feet -- is Acworth.
According to Calvin, "Our new store in JASPER, the new Pre-Owned Supercenter in Rockmart, and the renovated and improved Acworth store have us lined up to carry on the family tradition of providing an outstanding sales and service experience for our customers for the next four generations of Day's Chevrolet."
